Cute bar, bouncers lovely on the door. Service was good, friendly staff. Only complaint was the volume of the music; it's a small bar and the DJ had the music at a deafening level, especially when it was reasonably early, not that busy and everyone was sitting down, trying to have conversations. It didn't give me the impression it was a dancing sort of place, but I could be wrong. Otherwise, good amount of seating for its size and assuming it's not that loud during the day.
Recommended to us by friends, we pre-booked visited on a Monday when there is 50% off food. Great venue and not too busy considering, met by an extremely attentive and friendly waiter.I got the Pen and Pencil burger, could not have been better, up there with the best burgers Ive ever had teamed with sweet potato fries and a great pint.My partner had the Buttermilk Chicken burger and she was equally chuffed with that and a wine, all for 23!!!!!! OUTSTANDING well done PS get yourself a side of the Guinness blue cheese sauce, takes them 3 days to make apparently, game changer!
It was okay. The person serving us was very attentive. The food I had was tasty. However, they charged us all for a coffee or tea, that they suggested we had. It was a limited menu, and they took one of the dishes off the menu due to a missing delivery. Too many dishes were egg based. All in all, expensive for what it was.
Nice find! Bit off the track but the brunch is really good here. Friendly service and well priced. I'm definitely going back. Very informal atmosphere.
I've visited P&P on a couple of occasions and found the staff to be very friendly. We've only had drinks so clearly can't comment on the food. However, there's usually a wait for tables at weekends so they must be doing something right.Good selection of beers, cocktails etc at reasonable prices. Great atmosphere too. Our first port of call when in Manchester.
