The doctors and staff here are wonderful. The problem lays with its processes in place, showing clear signs of poor management. This place is clearly too small with an absolutely out dated process of booking apointments. Basically the is no way at all you will be booking apointments over the phone here. If you try, expect a dead end ''line busy' tone, no waiting queue, nothing. You will get this about 100 times for around 30 minutes. You will then get through to a fully booked surgery with no future bookings. If you want an appointment you have to queue outside the building at 7.50, as these encounters are priorotised regardless of urgency.
One star reluctantly after 200 attempts in a 40 minute session both my self and my wife were unable to get through when finally through to answer machine no appointments left. No wander patients attend A and E with non emergency illnesses why is the practice still taking new patients on when they cant cope with there current list purely for financial benefit ??
Excellent Doctors and reception staff who work incredibly hard under emmense pressure and the constraints placed upon them. They do their very best for their patients in the most difficult of circumstances especially when they can't facilitate every request for an appointment. Some of the reviews on here are slanderous vicious and simply untrue and are posted purely because individuals didn't get what they want when they wanted it so they chose to lash out against the first face they see The NHS do an incredible job and a fair few people would do well to remember that..
Not sure what people are on about? Got an appointment on a Sunday, reception staff friendly, smiling and helpful and this isn't even my surgery! Clean, modern building with a nice little area for kids. I can't fault the place.
The surgery appears to be too small for the catchment area and this is negatively affecting services. If you are unwilling or unable to sit in the waiting area in the hope of getting an appointment any form of urgent care is impossible. If you need to book an appointment at certain times, for example if you are at work at other times, you can wait upwards of a month to see a doctor. When you do manage to make an appointment you will almost certainly find that your appointment is missed and may have to wait up to an hour extra. Certain evening appointments have been cancelled as I was waiting - I've been approached by the reception staff after an hour of waiting to be told "Sorry but the doctor won't be able to see you today after all".The Doctors will do their best to look after you but will rush your appointment. As such you will most likely be prescribed the most obvious choice of medication/treatment with no real attention paid to your individual needs. You will wait a further 2 or 3 months for a follow up appointment. You will have to chase the surgery for the results of any tests you have done as they will not attempt to communicate these to you unless the test results show urgent attention is required.I have just been told by a receptionist that I cannot make an appointment at this time as all slots for the next month are filled. I can phone tomorrow morning to see if an appointment is available 31 days from now. They are accepting new patients.
